Robot Connectors / SDKs
BotChain includes open-source software development kits (SDKs) and connectors that allow robots, drones, and machines to link with the network. These tools act as a bridge between devices and the BotChain Terminal, where users decide what information to upload to the blockchain.
How It Works
Connectors are lightweight software modules that can be added to supported machines or their control systems. They capture selected activity and make it available in the Terminal.
SDKs allow developers to integrate custom or unsupported devices into BotChain without relying on vendor-specific software.
What Gets Shared
Data is not automatically pushed to the blockchain. Instead, device owners choose which logs, events, or configurations they want to store. This keeps the system efficient while giving users full control over their data.
Benefits
For Personal Users: Hobbyists and drone pilots can connect devices easily, record flight or usage logs, and experiment with reprogramming in a safe way.
For Commercial Users: Small businesses can unify different robots into a single framework, making it easier to keep records and demonstrate reliability when needed.
The aim of the connectors and SDKs is to lower the barrier for participation. Whether for personal projects or commercial use, integration should be simple and not restricted by manufacturer limitations.
